Honey Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing


  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon buckwheat or other dark honey
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon finely ground black pepper
  • 3/4 cup olive oil


  • Add all ingredients except oil to a mixing bowl, and whisk to consistency.  Alternatively, use a large shake bottle.
  • Add the oil and whisk or shake to consistency.
  • Can be refrigerated and used later.  Re-mix before serving.
  • If the dressing has clumped while in the refrigerator, set the bottle in a bowl filled with hot water for 1-2 minutes before serving, then shake.
The flavor of this dressing tends to deepen and improve over several days.
